PORTLAND, OR — Challengers Uprising has reached an official partnership with Esports Stadium Arlington to broadcast and run productions for the semifinals and finals matches of the tournament’s inaugural season from their production facilities in Arlington, Texas. By competing in Challengers Uprising, North America’s top amateur teams have the potential of qualifying for the Honda Scouting Grounds hosted by Riot Games and moving closer to the professional level of League of Legends.

Numerous teams and players of note currently participate in Challengers Uprising. The esports organizations range from North Amateur amateur scene powerhouses like ANEW Esports (2019 SGC Winner) and Maryville University to teams like 100 Thieves NEXT (100 Thieves’ development team) and Simplicity Esports. Rising young talent like Tenacity, Kenvi and 5fire compete alongside veterans with professional experience (LCS and NA Academy) like MikeYeung, Winter, and Engo.

Speaking on the partnership, Esports Stadium Arlington’s President, Jonathan Oudthone, notes that “Esports Stadium Arlington supports Challengers Uprising as an incredible new organization that shares our vision for the future of esports at all levels, especially the amateur scene; with Challengers Uprising doing an amazing job of creating a development platform for the North American League of Legends community so far, this partnership made complete sense for us.”

Esports Stadium Arlington features a competition showroom with a built in 85ft LED wall that’s accompanied by an immersive sound and theatrical lighting system. The broadcast is powered by a first of its kind production facility that harbors Grass Valley systems, a dedicated Observer Room, Caster Studio, Data Center and Control Room. The stadium will provide broadcast production for Challengers Uprising’s playoff matches between July 22 and July 29. The deal sets a new benchmark for the North American amateur scene’s viewer experience through elevated broadcast standards.

“We’re thrilled to lean into the world-class production capabilities of Esports Stadium Arlington,” said Glenn Chin, President of Challengers Uprising. “Our regular season production has been incredible so far and we’re looking forward to the semifinals and finals. Our goals center around providing great experiences for our players, teams, partners, and the esports community as a whole – we’re incredibly excited to be taking this next step forward.”
